I had half of my thyroid removed about 15 years ago. Blood tests yearly revealed my thyroid was functioning normally, so there was no need to take thyroid medicine. However, in the last 2 years, I have put on about 20 lbs, been very tired, experienced depression, and tingling in my hands at night. I have many symptoms of hypothyroidism, but my yearly blood tests continue to show normal range. I started taking Iodine Plus 2 and immediately felt less tired, my depression and tingling disappeared, and I started feeling like my old self again. What is your feedback on this?

TSH levels can remain normal in some cases even though you have mild hypothyroidism. It's important ...

I have cavernous hemangiomas in my brain (4), 1 behind my left eye, 1-2 in my spinal cord, and another on my tongue. I am HLA-B27 positive with diagnoses of ankylosing spondylitis, chronic fatigue syndrome, interstitial cystitis, and fibromyalgia. Since my early 30s, I've experienced abdominal pain and constant bloating, sometimes with blood in my stool. Could my hemangiomas be linked to this bloating and gastrointestinal issues?

I have a sensation in my throat that feels like clicking or rubbing when swallowing saliva, especially when I tilt my head down. It's underneath my chin in my neck a little to my left. Sometimes I feel like there is a lump, but I'm not sure if it's real. I also have reflux symptoms and have noticed this sensation more after straining my neck at the gym. What could be causing this and should I be concerned about cancer?

I had surgery for a cystocele/rectocele a year and a half ago, but I feel like something is still there, which they say is scar tissue. This has caused anxiety due to not healing correctly. I also have anismus and have done biofeedback. I experience stomach problems, severe worry, and wake up with stomach knots, feeling unwell, and a fast heartbeat. I'm scared to sleep and feel nauseous often after eating. My gastroenterologist has done tests and found nothing severe. My regular doctor thinks I'm 'crazy.' What can I do?

My fingers have turned blue, primarily in the left but also in the right, for a couple of hours now. This is the second time in as many weeks. Last time, a trip to the ER resulted in a diagnosis of hypoglycemia. I've been carefully watching my diet, am not overweight, exercise, and generally healthy. Six weeks ago, I started low-dose thyroid hormone replacement Levothyroxine .05mg for a gradually declining thyroid. I am a 46-year-old female. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I am a 27-year-old female experiencing constant pain in my right upper abdomen. An ultrasound was clear, but a HIDA scan showed my gallbladder functioning at 35%. My surgeon doesn't recommend removal because it's not below 30%, and suggests an EGD or waiting a month. I don't want to be in pain anymore. Should I get a second opinion or spend more time and money looking for another problem?
