I had unprotected oral and possibly vaginal intercourse with a sex worker on January 9th. I experienced flu-like symptoms, including nausea and vomiting, shortly after. I was tested for HIV and other STDs three days later, with negative results for HIV. I am concerned about potential bacterial STDs and why I am still experiencing symptoms. How should I interpret these symptoms, and when should I retest for HIV and other STDs?
