I have a constant dry cough that has persisted for over 6 months. I've tried various cough medicines and drops, but they only slightly help. I also smoke marijuana occasionally. What could be causing this persistent cough, and what can I do to alleviate it?

I have been experiencing strange episodes of twitching and jerking on the right side of my face and body for about 3 weeks. I do not lose awareness but sometimes the episodes last quite long. I have lost a lot of muscle mass, experience weakness, awkward limb movements, difficulty in speaking and swallowing, increased anxiety and depression, frequent tripping and loss of balance, and a family history of dementia and Alzheimer's. My bloodwork is normal except for high prolactin levels, and I was taking clonazopam and keppra. What could these symptoms be?
