I have been experiencing extreme burning pain down the right side of my body, which subsided slightly but has led to new lesions. I have no thyroid glands due to a goiter removal and have been on levothyroxine. My doctor has reduced my dosage, resulting in high T4 and low T3 levels, causing symptoms like dry skin, hair loss, and difficulty sleeping. I also have hemocromatosis and take blood pressure and pain medications. What medications might interfere with levothyroxine absorption, do I need to take T3, and is there a better thyroid supplement I could use?
