I have a visible pile that has been bleeding intermittently. I did a fecal occult blood test in December 2021 which was negative, but a recent test was positive, though the line was faint. I am concerned about the possibility of bowel cancer. Can piles cause a positive fecal occult blood test, and should I still be worried about cancer despite my previous negative test and visible piles?

I have been sick for nearly 2 weeks with a constant cough that is sometimes wet and sometimes dry, accompanied by chest tightness and the production of green and bloody mucus. I have tried various over-the-counter medications and supplements, but the symptoms persist. I am 22 years old and have no other medical conditions except for coeliac disease.
