My fiancée has been experiencing food poisoning symptoms since Monday evening, likely from watermelon or tomato soup. She has been vomiting frequently and is generally uncomfortable. Can my daughter have a fever of 100.2°F on her 7th day after receiving vaccines (polio, MMR, DTaP, chickenpox, and flu)? She is 4 years old. The doctor initially suspected strep throat based on clinical observation but the test came back negative. The culture test has been pending for 4 days. Can antibiotics affect the efficacy of the vaccines, and do any of the vaccines contain bacteria? Should she take the shots again if she had antibiotics?
