I am 38 years old and have only one sex partner who does not have any symptoms. What could be causing this and what should I do?

I have COVID-19 and am on the third day of symptoms. My sore throat is severe, making it hard to swallow, while other symptoms are mild and diminishing. I have tried gargling with salt water but it hasn't helped. I am 74 years old, on antivirals, and had my sixth COVID vaccine 2.5 weeks ago. My sore throat started on the first day, mainly at night, and has worsened in the last 24 hours. The pain is sharp when I swallow or sneeze, and sometimes my ears hurt too. I had chills yesterday but not now. I also have hypothyroidism and some arthritis. What can I do for my sore throat and other symptoms?

My 22-month-old grandson has croup. I have some steroids that were prescribed to my 8-month-old granddaughter. Can I give him a dose, and if so, how much? The croup seems to be getting a little worse, especially at night. I have not used the steroid on him before, but I recently used it on my 8-month-old granddaughter. This croup has affected 4 out of my 6 grandchildren who have spent a lot of time together.
