I have been diagnosed with chronic idiopathic urticaria with angioedema and have been taking Zyrtec 2x per day to prevent reactions. However, I noticed that when I stopped taking Zyrtec, the swelling in my face from angioedema almost completely went away. When I resumed taking Zyrtec, the swelling returned. Have you ever encountered a patient where Zyrtec or another histamine medication caused angioedema, and do you think it's possible that Zyrtec could be causing my angioedema?
