Tracy S. asked
I have been diagnosed with genital warts caused by low-risk HPV types 6 and 11. I have had infrequent recurrences and most of my partners were vaccinated against HPV. I am concerned about the potential cancer risks associated with HPV, particularly throat cancer from oral sex. Could you clarify the following: 1) Does having low-risk HPV types 6 and 11 increase the risk of cancer? 2) Does having low-risk HPV make me less likely to contract high-risk HPV types like 16 or 18? 3) Can low-risk HPV types also cause throat cancer? 4) If I have low-risk HPV genitally, does it affect the likelihood of having high-risk HPV orally or elsewhere?

When should someone worry about uneven pupil size? I have been experiencing a thudding sound in my left ear when I close my left eye, occasional eye twitching, and noticed my pupils are different sizes. I had a non-contrast MRI and EEG which were both normal, but should I be concerned about an aneurysm or other serious issues?

My baby, who is almost one month old, has been congested for about 3 days, with congestion sounding more in his throat than his nose. He's been crying a lot and has no cough or chills. He's feeding well and has no fever. What could be causing this and what can I do to help him?

My 14-year-old son’s heart beats rather fast. Sometimes you can clearly see his chest area moving. The doctor in the past has said it’s normal, but he was concerned about his heart rate being a little high during his last physical. What range should his heart rate be, and what numbers are concerning?

I am a 23-year-old male with a history of enlarged fatty liver, fatty pancreas, neuropathy, sensory ataxia, insulin resistance, mild left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH), and dizziness. I have been experiencing constant dizziness since September 2020, which has worsened over time. I have been diagnosed with uncompensated labyrinthine dysfunction and eustachian tube dysfunction. My blood work shows high C-reactive protein levels, high ESR levels, and high cholesterol levels. I am on medications including metoprolol, CPAP machine, vitamin D3, multivitamin, ALA, thiamine, B12, lorazepam, and Flonase. I am looking for advice on what could be causing my dizziness and how to treat the conditions mentioned, as well as recommendations for blood tests to measure insulin levels and any additional supplements or vitamins that might help.
