I have been diagnosed with GERD and missed my dose of omeprazole today, leading to severe heartburn. Can I take omeprazole now at night even after eating, or should I take something else and resume omeprazole in the morning? Additionally, does GERD cause asthma or vice versa, and if I am taking prednisone and albuterol, which I read can adversely affect GERD, should I discontinue these medications until my GERD symptoms improve?
