I have been experiencing a sore throat on the left side for over three weeks, along with ear pain and tightness in the left part of my head. The pain is dull and comes and goes with the throat pain. I have used Telynol tablets but haven't found relief. I also feel discomfort while speaking and more pain when I do. I used to smoke more heavily a month ago, which seemed to worsen the throat pain, but I have since stopped. What could be causing these symptoms and what can I do to alleviate them?

I have had leg pain for over a week, which gets worse towards the end of the day. The pain is deep, achy, and dull, and sometimes affects my calf, the side of my foot, and the front of my quad.
