I've been experiencing heart palpitations intermittently for four days now, with an elevated heart rate (85-90 bps, normally 65-75 bps). My heart rate drops to 65-70 bps when lying in bed, but it rises to 90-100 bps upon waking. I feel anxious and have difficulty sleeping. I had similar symptoms a year ago that resolved on their own, and my blood tests and ECG were normal at that time. Could this be caused by anxiety or something else?
