I have been experiencing diarrhea and abdominal cramps for two weeks. The cramps are localized in the lower abdomen and come and go. I am 67 years old, have high blood pressure and diabetes (both controlled), and had a bout of E. coli in the past. I am not taking any medications specifically for these symptoms, and I have not noticed any blood in my stool, which is gelatinous and foamy. I have tried Pepto-Bismol, but it has not helped. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

I tested positive for Chlamydia, but my partner tested negative. I'm certain he is the source of my infection. What could be the reasons for his negative test result, and which test is more accurate for detecting Chlamydia: urine, blood, or a urethritis panel?

My friend and I believe she got food poisoning after eating at a restaurant last night. She has been throwing up three times and may have a fever, diarrhea, and chills. What would you recommend?

I’ve found that not looking at my stool after my severe GI issues from Covid has released every bit of my anxiety I had. However, I had a stool yesterday that I looked at because I felt it was the first good movement I had in a month. It was a bit lighter colored, came off on paper light yellow. How do you medically define an acholic stool? If I was having these stools would I have other symptoms? I otherwise feel fine. 38m

My 4-year-old son is pulling his ear and saying it hurts. He can't sleep and is crying repeatedly. He had otitis media once before. What can we do at home for relief, and should we seek medical attention?
