I have been experiencing sinus pressure and pain for many years, typically with symptoms like a runny nose, red eyes, sneezing, and sinus pain lasting for about a day every week or 10 days. Recently, I experienced pain and heaviness in my left eye, which was also slightly blurry in the morning. Additionally, my left nostril is more impacted than the right one, and my throat feels jammed up, causing nausea. What could be causing these symptoms and what should I do?

I was prescribed atorvastatin and metformin. My total cholesterol went down from 203 to 144, HDL cholesterol decreased from 34 to 25, and LDL decreased from 140 to 95. AST is now 53 (normal 35) and ALT is 83 (normal 46). Should I be worried about HDL not increasing as expected, and could the statin be causing elevated AST and ALT? How often should I monitor my liver enzymes, and what dietary changes should I make to potentially improve HDL levels?

I had an abdominal X-ray last Tuesday that showed a few dilated small bowel loops and moderate constipation. Could this indicate a bowel obstruction? Additionally, I am always constipated high up in my colon and believe it may be impacted. How would they remove fecal impaction if it is high up in the colon?

I constantly have pain in my right side slightly above the hip area. I sleep on my right side and now wake with really bad pains there. I have frequent constipation, abdominal distention, bloating, and gas. I had a hysterectomy in 2009 and still have my ovaries. I live with constant discomfort. How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse? Anything else in your medical history you think the doctor should know?
