My 63-year-old husband, who was in great physical health, underwent a Whipple surgical procedure with no cancer found. He is three months post-surgery and experiencing bouts of being very cold and shivering, which last about 20 to 30 minutes and occur around three times post-surgery. After these episodes, he is very tired and has little energy for a day. Could this be due to a vitamin deficiency, or should I take him to the doctor for further examination?

I've been experiencing a random burning sensation under my right breast and sometimes in the middle of my stomach, both sides under my armpits where the ribs meet are sore to touch as well. I'm not on any medications and have had these symptoms for about 2 days. I don't have nausea, vomiting, or abdominal bloating. The left side of my rib near the breast is also painful to touch. Could this be endocarditis, and can gum disease cause endocarditis when I brush my teeth carefully and use a salt water rinse?

I'm having severe pain in my hip area for the past 2-3 months. My physical therapist believes it's a muscle issue, but my primary care doctor has been unresponsive. Walking and lying down are both painful, and over-the-counter pain relievers like Alleve, Tylenol, and Advil are ineffective. The only medication that has worked for me in the past is Soma 500mg, but my current doctor prescribed Flexoril, which is useless. I also have a history of high blood pressure and anxiety. What can be done to alleviate this pain?
