I have been on a PPI for around 7 years and am concerned about kidney damage. I had blood tests done, but I believe I was slightly dehydrated when they were drawn. My results include Uric Acid: 3.5 (reference: 4.0-8.0 mg/dL), UREA NITROGEN (BUN): 23 (reference: 7-25 mg/dL), CREATININE: 1.04 (reference: 0.60-1.35 mg/dL), and eGFR NON-AFR. AMERICAN: 88 (reference ≥ 60 mL/min/1.73m²). I also had a high HOMOCYSTEINE of 11.7 (reference: <11.4 umol/L). The same night we discussed these results, I ended up in the hospital with tachycardia and was diagnosed with dehydration. After IV fluids, my creatinine dropped to 0.9 and BUN to 15. I still have a slightly elevated heart rate and traces of blood in my urine (Non-Hemolyzed moderate trace). What should I do?
