I have concerns about lung cancer and throat issues. I have had a clean thorax CT scan, normal blood counts, and no significant symptoms during physical activities. However, I experience throat clearing, occasional wheezing, and slight stabbing discomfort in the chest. My ENT doctor diagnosed me with chronic pharyngitis. Is it safe to rule out malignancy or serious lung disease, and are these throat symptoms due to chronic pharyngitis and GERD?

I have been experiencing diarrhea and stomach cramps for the past two weeks. I have tried Pepto-Bismol several times over the past two weeks, but it's not working. I used to take Cholestyramine for oral suspension, USP, which helped tremendously with my IBS. Can you prescribe me some?

An elderly patient (91) in relatively good health, who has never had diabetes, had a basal serum glucose exam with a result of 110 mg/dl, which is within the recommended range. She hasn't had an A1C exam. She was prescribed empagliflozin (10 mg daily). Is this indicated for this condition? Shouldn't they have recommended diet adjustments, exercises, etc., and the A1C test previously instead of just prescribing this medication?

I have been experiencing pimple-like sores on my hand that have developed into raised red lesions with widening openings and yellowing pus. These sores never heal and are spreading to other parts of my body, causing pain, itching, and affecting my memory, vision, and movement. I am concerned that this could be myasis, a condition caused by parasitic larvae, and I am struggling to get medical professionals to take my condition seriously. What could be causing these symptoms and what steps should I take for diagnosis and treatment?
