I have had a hard abdomen for months with no pain and normal digestion. The hardness varies, and it started around the time my mother went into assisted living, possibly stress-related. I have a sensitive prostate and had a bilateral inguinal hernia about 15 years ago. My diet doesn't seem to affect the hardness, and I'm generally trim except for my abdomen. I don't consume sugary drinks or alcohol. What can I do to resolve this issue?

I've had burning pain in my chest that shoots through to my back for a couple of years. It was originally diagnosed as hypersensitive esophagitis and treated with trazodone, which helped initially. Recently, it stopped working, and an endoscopy showed bile in my stomach. My doctor put me on colestipol, but there's been no improvement. How long does it take for colestipol to work? Will it help with my pain? Is there anything that really helps to treat pain caused by bile reflux?

My 22-year-old son has been dealing with acid reflux for a few years and was prescribed Nexium, which has helped. Recently, he has experienced pain in his upper right abdomen while swallowing, which disappears after eating. The pain started about two weeks ago and is more of a discomfort than severe. My father is 98 years old and is extremely dehydrated and malnourished due to a mucus buildup causing dysphagia, making it difficult for him to eat and drink. He is exhibiting symptoms of renal failure and possibly congestive heart disease, including fluid leakage from his extremities. He has a doctor's appointment on Tuesday, but I believe it is imperative that he does not wait until then. What should I do?

I had unprotected sex yesterday. I weigh 91 kg, took 4 Yasmin pills immediately after, and plan to take 4 more after 12 hours. I'm not on any contraception, usually ovulate on CD 9 to CD 11, and today is CD 15. There was no ejaculation. I read that emergency pills might not work for obese women. How true is this? I did an ovulation test at home, which was negative, but the gynecologist found an ovum measuring 16mm during an ultrasound for IUD insertion, which failed due to a closed orifice. Could this be from the Yasmin pills? Should I repeat the IUD insertion in 2 days?
