asked

I have had GERD for approximately 15 years and have had several endoscopies, including one that detected a small segment of Barrett's esophagus (no dysplasia). My last endoscopy, almost 6 years ago, did not detect Barrett's esophagus. I am currently experiencing increased chest pain and heartburn due to stress and anxiety. Given my history, age, and symptoms, am I most likely overreacting or is there a real reason to suspect esophageal cancer?
