I have intermittently bled while pooping for about 8 years, sometimes with a sharp pain. The blood amount varies, but can be significant. I'm a 29-year-old man on a strict vegan diet. I've been told it's likely hemorrhoids, but I'm concerned about the amount of blood and occasional pain. Is this normal, and when should I consider further evaluation?
