I have Type 2 Diabetes and have been managing my blood sugar levels well for 1.5 years, achieving a range of 90-126 without metformin. However, after going off metformin and adopting a semi-carbohydrate diet, my blood sugar levels have risen back to 150-180. I restarted metformin at 1500 mg last Saturday, but my blood sugar has not decreased after 3 days. I have also been exercising. Should I increase my metformin dose, and is my eye twitch related?
