I've been severely depressed for the past few years, leading to a sedentary lifestyle and poor diet, including a recent binge on high-saturated fat and sugar non-dairy ice cream. I'm rarely able to exercise due to a hearing injury and have intermittent erectile dysfunction (ED). I'm concerned about potential heart disease or diabetes. My EKG and BP were normal last year. Could my recent dietary habits and sedentary lifestyle have caused significant damage?

I have been experiencing numbness in my left hand, primarily on my thumb, for the last 6 days. The numbness comes and goes and sometimes spreads to my hand and arm. I am 47 years old and have no other symptoms like weakness, blurry vision, or pain. Can this be related to a stroke or another medical condition?

My wife is experiencing a hypertensive situation with her blood pressure fluctuating around 198/105, causing symptoms like headache, dizziness, and lightheadedness. She has been on blood pressure medication but had to change it due to inconsistent results. She has an appointment at the local Heart Institute but it's not until October 11. I am concerned for her. What should we do?
