I have on and off yellow mucus in my urine, and a urinalysis showed a very small amount of blood in my urine. My doctor mentioned that this is common, but I'm concerned about the mucus and potential underlying issues. What could this be, and should I be concerned about cancer or other serious conditions?

My husband, who is 94 years old, has a persistent dripping nose, especially when eating. He has tried various over-the-counter remedies and a prescription nasal spray, but nothing seems to help. I am menopausal and experiencing weight gain in specific areas such as underarms, breastbone, and back of neck. I exercise approximately 1.5 hours per day, including walking and biking, and consume between 1500-2000 calories daily. I have hot flashes, poor sleep, and no libido. My doctor did not prescribe hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and has not tested my hormone levels. Do I need to see an endocrinologist?
