I have severe insomnia and have tried Ambien, which works half the time. I recently started taking Trazodone, but I'm unsure about the best dosage and timing. Some suggest taking it 2 hours before bed, while others say 30 to 90 minutes before bed or even right at bedtime. I've been taking 50mg for two weeks, but I only sleep about 2 days a week for 3 hours, and on other days, I don't sleep at all. What is the correct dosage and timing for Trazodone to help with my insomnia?

I have been suffering from severe back pain and fibromyalgia for over a decade, and narcotic pain medications like Lortab 10/500 are the only effective treatments besides exercise. My primary care physician is uncomfortable prescribing these medications regularly and has referred me to a physiatrist. I live in the Boston area and am concerned about the difficulty in obtaining these medications due to DEA regulations. Will the physiatrist prescribe these medications, and if not, are there sympathetic doctors or clinics in the area that might?

Is it possible to blow 180 on a breathalyzer test if I drank 4 475 ml of beer with an average alcohol content of 5-7% in 20 minutes, given that I am 5'10" and weigh 175 pounds, and have had stomach surgery which might cause alcohol to be absorbed more quickly?

I've been having trouble breathing lately, with oxygen levels dropping to 80 at rest, despite normal X-rays. I have an oximeter and am scheduled for a pulmonary test. What should I do in the meantime, and should I consider going to the ER?

I kissed a woman who has had a cold sore but wasn't showing any outbreak. I noticed a change in taste and now have morning breath. Am I being paranoid or is there anything to worry about?

I was splashed with hot olive oil on my hand a week ago, resulting in a large blister and dark patches of skin. I have been applying aloe vera gel and taking care of the blister. Yesterday, I accidentally bumped the blister, causing it to scrape open. I am concerned about scarring, longer healing time, and infection risk. I have been applying Neosporin, aloe vera gel, and using bandages. There is a slight itch feeling. Does it look like there are any signs of infection?
