I have soreness high up in my mouth with slight discharge. I cut the roof of my mouth on a piece of toast last week and it's been sore ever since. I also have a dry nose pretty much all the time in the winter and use a humidifier. I experience occasional dizziness but no fever or tooth pain. What can I do to alleviate the soreness and promote healing?

I jammed my finger, it is swollen but I am able to bend it. I had it in a splint last week and that made it stiff and hard to bend. Is it better to splint and rest or bend and fight through the pain?

My knee became painful on Saturday. The symptoms are better with no swelling, but worse when climbing stairs. I am a 72-year-old overweight male with just minor stiffness when getting up from the floor. The pain is worse on stairs and I am unable to put full weight while climbing, but it gets better when walking, though there is still some soreness. What could be causing this pain and what can I do to alleviate it?
