I'm a 26-year-old male experiencing a stabbing pain on my left abdomen near my rib cage for about two weeks. The pain comes and goes and is sometimes accompanied by feelings of gas or bubbles in that location. I've had elevated stool levels, bloating, and frequent coughing for the past three weeks. My gastroenterologist performed a colonoscopy and found no polyps, but took biopsies of my rectum. I also have blood in my urine and am scheduled for an ultrasound on my scrotum, stomach, and kidneys. What could be causing this pain and should I seek further medical care?
