Michael C. asked
I'm a 60-year-old female with normal blood pressure, taking a statin for cholesterol, and experiencing significant anxiety for the past 6 months. I've been experiencing palpitations and dizziness, but my cardiologist's tests (EKG, Holter monitor, stress test) were all normal, indicating a low risk of heart disease. My resting heart rate is usually 78-82, but it can go over 100 during minimal or light activity, which is noticeable and uncomfortable. Is this normal, and could the increased heart rate due to anxiety cause damage to my heart?

Can anxiety make you sweat more than normal, especially in the armpits, or is it something else I should worry about?

I had surgery on my foot, including all toes and a bunion, and now, almost 3 months later, one incision is infected. Should the MD give me antibiotics and pain meds or just antibiotics?

I had a full, clean STD panel done about 4 months ago. Shortly after that, I had a short encounter with a man where I tried to give him oral sex without a condom, but he was unable to get an erection. We kissed and he stimulated my vagina by putting his fingers in me. That was 10 weeks ago. I haven't had any symptoms until this past weekend when I had pain on one side of my vagina on the interior, which was diagnosed as a Bartholin's gland cyst. With antibiotics, I am feeling better. I just want to know if I could have caught any STDs during that short encounter 10 weeks ago.
