I'm having unexpected diarrhea that lasted 24 hours straight and has returned after taking Imodium. The diarrhea is now coming in random bouts almost every hour. I'm very hungry, slightly bloated, and a bit fatigued, but otherwise feel fine. I haven't traveled recently, haven't been in contact with anyone with similar symptoms, and have no other medical problems or medications besides Imodium. Could this be related to my period starting soon, or is it something else?

I have been nauseous for 7 days, with no vomiting or diarrhea, and was constipated for a couple of days but better now. My blood work showed elevated ALT, but everything else was okay. I had an EKG a few weeks ago which was normal. What could I be sick with?

I recently returned from the Philippines and started experiencing diarrhea, abdominal pain, and nausea. The pain is severe and has caused vomiting. I'm concerned about the severity of the pain and how long I should wait before going to the emergency room. Additionally, I have a history of mild gallbladder issues and had a fatty liver during COVID, which I reversed with diet and exercise. What should I do?

I had protected sex with a woman who has had multiple sex partners before. Although I used condoms, I briefly performed oral sex on her. Should I get an HIV test?

I'm experiencing symptoms such as feeling hot without a fever, red ears, throat pain when swallowing, and increased mucus production, possibly due to recent intense workouts and vocal strain. I'm concerned about potential illness and its impact on my family, especially my wife and 9-month-old baby. What could be the cause of these symptoms and what self-care measures should I take?

I am a 68-year-old woman with low immunoglobulin levels, and my husband has recently tested positive for Covid. We are both up-to-date on our Covid shots. I am planning to isolate myself on the lower level of our house while my husband stays upstairs, wearing masks and minimizing contact. I am considering using a tarp to block air passage and will wear an N95 mask when necessary. I am also thinking about going to a hotel if the home plan is not safe enough. How safe is this plan, and if it is safe, can I go upstairs after my husband has been out for a certain amount of time to shower or get items from the fridge?
