I'm preparing for a colonoscopy. I've taken my 18 doses of miralax and my 4 dulcolax tablets. My stool is dark yellow and contains blood. Do I still take the 10 ounce bottle of magnesium citrate or not? Also, would this be cause to go to the ER?

Yes, you should still take the magnesium citrate as your stool should be watery for the colonoscopy....

I am a hypochondriac with somatic tendencies. How can I manage my anxiety and reassure myself that there is no serious health issue?

My RBC, Hemoglobin, and Hematocrit numbers are too low. I have active Colitis and significant mitral valve leakage, which might damage red blood cells. My RBC six days ago was 2.71, Hemoglobin - 9.0, Hematocrit - 28.6, MCV - 105.5, RDW - 52.0, showing a decline from April. I switched from Sulfasalazine to Lialda for Colitis, but no relief yet. My question is, do you think it's more related to the gastro issue or the mitral valve leak, or both? I am concerned that my low numbers might affect my eligibility for repair surgery.
