I have sharp pain between my shoulder blades that radiates around to my chest. The pain recurs occasionally but is not continuous. It started early this morning when I was in bed and has occurred before. The pain dissipates when I stand and wait. I'm 73 years old, retired from civil service, and work on my personal computer a few hours a day as a writer. I recently had an endoscopy procedure and was found to have a couple of ulcers. I also had a radiology test where I drank a chalky liquid and ate a pill while being watched on camera.

If I had liver pain from an enlarged liver or high LFTs or an enlarged spleen, would the pain be constant? Would it feel like a pulled muscle when I move a certain way? Would it be in my upper right stomach or side and back area? When I move a certain way or bend, I feel a pain in my flank area. No fever. It lasts for about 10 seconds. I also feel it after getting up in the morning. Feels tight.
