I recently had Covid followed by an exacerbation of my asthma. I have a week or two in between each illness. The most recent symptoms are a stuffy nose, swollen glands, crepitus, and wheezing in my throat. I have had this before and was diagnosed with traceitis. Treated effectively with a round of antibiotics. I do not have a prescription currently. I am 62 years old with mild hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, and asthma. I take Symbicort 2 puffs twice a day and Singulair daily. I got COVID on January 16th, went on Paxlovid on the 17th, and after a week felt well, then asthma started a week later. Well for about a week, then this started about 3-4 days ago. I used Alvesco when Symbicort at its max of 8 puffs a day isn't working to control my asthma and it is very effective. This is definitely localized to my throat. Crepitus and wheezing. My nose is very stuffy. I have been unwell for months, having what was probably RSV in November, Norwalk before Christmas, then COVID, asthma, and now this. Very frustrating. I have a dear friend newly diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, should I avoid her?

I have been clinically depressed for many years and have been taking 150 mg of Doxepin and 1 mg of Xanax at night, which worked well. My German doctor suggested switching to 50 mg of Doxepin and 30 mg of Remeron, but I am currently taking 2.5 mg of Xanax with 150 mg of Doxepin due to anxiety and poor sleep. I am concerned about the Xanax and want to know the safest way to taper off it and add Remeron. What should I do with the Doxepin, and can you suggest a safe regimen for the next 7 days?

My husband has had an elevated RDW in his last two blood profiles. In 2021, it was 15, and it has been 17 since. All other values were normal, including B12. He is a beer drinker and has been donating double red blood cells three times a year for the last two years. He is experiencing symptoms such as being easily winded, breathless when bending over, and sometimes dizzy. He has a history of heart issues, including aortic valve replacement, coronary artery bypass, and an aortic aneurysm repair. Does this condition ever correct itself, and should he stop donating blood?
