I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolus in my left lung post-operatively (gall bladder removal) last November. Since then, I have been taking Xarelto and continue to experience intermittent chest pressure and shortness of breath. My cardiologist does not believe these symptoms are due to heart problems, and my pulmonologist feels they will abate. Is it possible that I have more blood clots, and what further tests or actions should my physicians consider?
