I was diagnosed with herpes type 2 (about 2 weeks ago) and treated with acyclovir. While taking the medication, I noticed a tingling sensation in my lower back that moved up to my neck and remained even after stopping the medication. Additionally, my right inner thigh has become very sensitive to touch since yesterday. Is the tingling sensation normal, and will it go away? Can I do something about it? Is this a side effect of genital herpes or the medication? Is it possible to transmit the virus without active symptoms, and do blisters always form in the same place? Should I use acyclovir cream for new outbreaks, and is it possible to transmit herpes through passive anal sex?

My husband has had strep throat three times in four months. He typically starts feeling tired, feverish, and experiences intense throat pain that affects his ability to sleep and eat. Each time, he has tested positive for strep and has been prescribed different antibiotics (amoxicillin, z-pack, and cefdinir). The strep infections often accompany other ailments like ear infections, COVID, and cold sores. We are unsure if he should see a specialist or continue with the current treatment. I have symptoms of upper digestive tract pain and inflammation, particularly on the left and right sides away from the stomach, which come and go. I suspect it might be a viral infection, specifically EBV, as my lab results show elevated EBV markers. I also have diarrhea, herpes-type rashes that come and go, and chronic digestive issues with my pancreas and gallbladder. My blood tests and ultrasound show normal results except for an enlarged gallbladder wall and cholesterol mucus inside it. What could be causing these symptoms, and how should I proceed with further testing or treatment?
