I was having stomach/gastro issues after eating a sandwich, including gnawing in the stomach, burning, awful gas, and soft stools. Blood work, stool tests, and a GI Map were done. The GI Map showed H pylori positive, while other tests were negative. I was prescribed pantoprazole and a stomach-coating medication, and started taking Pyloricil. After 7 days, the gnawing and burning are gone, stool is normal, but I have slight nausea, belching, and a loud stomach. Why do the tests conflict, and can I trust them? Could the symptoms be related to H pylori or other bacteria, or could it be stomach cancer?
