I have high cholesterol with a total of 292, LDL of 209, and HDL of 232. I was on Crestor but switched to Pravastatin due to muscle aches and back pain. Now, the lower back pain has returned. Should I continue taking Pravastatin, or should I ask to be switched to something else? Can the side effects go away if I stick it out? Is it safe to try to bring my cholesterol down naturally?

I can't lose weight despite exercising 30-45 minutes daily on the treadmill, maintaining a 1200 calorie intake, and keeping fat intake below 26%. My medications include simvastatin, estrace, a multivitamin, ocuvite, cranberry capsules, raspberry ketones, B100s, baby aspirin, and prilosec.
