Two years ago, I was diagnosed with fatty liver due to alcohol consumption and being overweight. I lost 40 lbs and exercised regularly, but I still drink a few glasses of wine daily. Recently, I've experienced minor pain in my liver area that comes and goes. What could be causing this pain, and how serious is it?

For years now, I have had high Ferritin levels, low neutrophils, and abdominal pain on the right side. My grandson has Urticaria Pigmentosa, and my daughter has just been diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Could my symptoms indicate a related problem?

I can't lose weight despite exercising 30-45 minutes daily on the treadmill, maintaining a 1200 calorie intake, and keeping fat intake below 26%. My medications include simvastatin, estrace, a multivitamin, ocuvite, cranberry capsules, raspberry ketones, B100s, baby aspirin, and prilosec. My yearly exams have all been normal, including thyroid and blood sugar tests. What could be the problem, and what else can I do to lose weight?

I experienced strong stomach pain radiating to my back after a meal, followed by vomiting and symptoms of light fever and joint pain. I was hospitalized and underwent tests including blood tests, chest X-ray, electrocardiogram, and a heart echography, all of which were mostly normal except for a borderline ECG and elevated CRP. I was monitored for two days and released after a follow-up ECG under physical activity was normal. I was told that sometimes women's ECG can be atypical and there was a suspicion of myocardial ischemia that was not confirmed. I was advised to have another test in 10 days. I am concerned about the possibility of coronary disease and whether stomach problems could be related to this type of pain. I also had an abdominal echo and CT scan in October that did not show any issues with my gallbladder, but there was a mention of discrete homogeneous thickening of the gallbladder wall.

I was given prednisone for a sunburn a month ago. I had my thyroid removed in October 2011. My T-3 uptake is 43, TSH is 0.12, T-4 is 1.9, and T3-free was 3.5 and then 2.9 two days later. Why are they not doing anything and want me to see my regular doctor on Monday? Should I be concerned before Monday? I went to a different hospital today and they wouldn't even draw my blood!

I have stage 4 kidney disease with a creatinine level of 2.3 and a GFR of 22. About 10 hours ago, I experienced pain in my ankles that spread up my calves, and now my legs are swollen and painful to walk. I have many physical problems, including hypertension, allergies, migraines, fibromyalgia, high cholesterol, high lipids, anemia from kidney damage, COPD, CHF, asthma, IBS, gout, and a history of spinal and shoulder surgeries. I am not diabetic. What do you think could be causing this?
