I was told by the ER that I have a gastric ulcer. They gave me Protonix and Pepcid in addition to cafanate. Should I be taking both Protonix and Pepcid, and how long will it take for my symptoms to improve?

Hello, I have a cold for 3 weeks now which has complicated into sinusitis and recently my ears are very clogged and I can barely hear. I also have lots of mucus which sometimes leads me to choking when I try to cough it out. The cough is mostly in the mornings and evenings, and it's dry in the evenings since there are less mucus. I have used Sinupret Intense, Actifed, and a nasal spray with xylometazoline, but they didn't help after a week. I have not done any tests. What could be causing this and what medications can help?
