What virus infections can live in the nose after 6 months? I've used antibiotics a few months ago but they didn't do anything as they didn't think it was bacterial. The symptoms are sneezing, itchy nose, red inside of nose with white dots and mucus. Chronic Sinuses. I've seen a doctor several times and got tested for bacteria and viruses, all came out negative. Have you heard of viruses living in the nose for longer than 6 months or maybe it's fungus?

My stepfather is an 86-year-old white male with type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and 5-6 stents in his heart. He was recently hospitalized for pneumonia and now has a fever of 102°F with chills. He is somewhat dehydrated and has difficulty walking with a walker. Should he return to the hospital or go to the nursing home as scheduled?

I went to the doctor a week ago for swollen tonsils, earache, and a cough. They diagnosed it as a common cold and prescribed penicillin. Since then, I've experienced high blood pressure (150/94), swollen ankles, and a return of my cough. About half an hour ago, I started having sharp chest pain under my breasts, more severe on the left side, with a weird flicker sensation. My cough is also returning, making it hard to breathe. I have a history of high blood pressure and hypothyroidism. What could be causing these symptoms, and what should I do?
