I want to know if my cut is infected. I have had the wound for 2 days now and it seems stable. I am 23 years old, using Polysporin and alcohol solutions to clean it, and taking malaria pills. I am currently in Thailand where the water is not the cleanest. Is it okay to shower with this wound or any other open wounds?

I am having severe stomach ache. It has been about 2 hours and is stable but not going away. I am on vacation, eating irregularly, and drinking regular wine. I am 49 years old, generally fit, and not overweight. I recently ran 5 miles in hot weather and started feeling this pain, which is unusual for me. What could be causing this and what should I do?
