My 18-year-old niece has a runny nose and experienced a burning sensation in her nasal passages and ears after inhaling deeply to clear her nose. She has been experiencing this for about 40 minutes and has a headache. She takes several medications and has phlegm but no fever or sore throat. What could be causing this and what should she do?

I am 57 years old and developed diarrhea, followed by a sore throat, earache, slight fever, nasal congestion, coughing, mild nausea, and laryngitis over the course of a week. My symptoms are starting to improve, but I still have mild nausea, congestion, and a cough. The mucus I produce is green. Does this sound like the flu, and if so, is it taking a normal course? If not, what could this be?

I have an infected lymph node, likely from a sinus infection, and have been on antibiotics and ibuprofen since Friday. The pain is worsening and spreading to my jaw and ear, with severe night sweats and difficulty sleeping. Should I go to the ER or wait a couple of days to see if the antibiotics help?
