I have been fighting a systemic fungal infection for about 5 months. I have tried antifungals like diflucan and ketoconazole, which help while I'm on them but the infection returns after I stop. I also experience GI symptoms and headaches, especially when the infection affects my sinuses. I have tried vitamins, dietary changes, and probiotics, but the issue persists. I have a fever and recently released from the hospital after 8 days due to pneumonia, sepsis, and kidney failure. I have lesions on my lower right lung lobe. I need help as I feel like I'm going to die, and the ER nearby won't see me. I'm not ready to die. I was sick a lot from birth to about 25 with pneumonia but never diagnosed until 19 when it was called chronic bronchial pneumonia. I was allergic to penicillin and erythromicin, but levofloxacin seemed to cure the problem. However, after being pneumonia-free for 10 years, it came back without usual warnings or symptoms, and I'm waiting to die. I'm only 46.
