My bloodwork shows I have hyperthyroidism, but my symptoms match this diagnosis. I had a blood test profile and a thyroid ultrasound. Recently, I completed a three-part scan, and when I asked if there were any hot spots, the doctor seemed shocked and mentioned cold spots instead. He questioned whether I had been told it was hyperthyroidism and suggested it might be hypothyroidism or underfunctioning. I have symptoms of hyperthyroidism such as weight loss, lack of appetite, insomnia, and trouble concentrating. I understand that low thyroid function is worse; am I right? I won't get the results from my doctor until next week, but I am confused.

I have had a severe headache behind and over my ears and behind my eyes for 2 weeks, along with a fever as high as 102°F, neck stiffness, and swollen lymph nodes in my neck. I was diagnosed with sinusitis and treated with antibiotics, but the symptoms have not fully resolved. What should I do?

I have swollen feet and ankles. I had a heart attack in 1998 and am on medications including Avodart, warfarin, amiodarone, carvedilol, spironolactone, nitro, and B-12. My feet have been swollen for about 2 weeks. I am a no salt person and consume very little sugar. What could be causing this and what should I do?

Is it normal to feel ok about myself on some days but see myself as ugly or unattractive on other days? Could this be related to my diet?
