My chest has been hurting for days now. The pain comes and goes, is sharp and achy, and feels like I can't take a deep breath. I'm 27 years old and have a dry cough. Eating is also a problem, and my throat is sore. The pain is on the top of my chest. What could be causing this pain, and what can I do to alleviate it?

I was prescribed 40 mg of prednisone and 15 mg of meloxicam for RA. I started the prednisone and am on the last day (5 day course). Yesterday I felt a touch off balance. Is it ok to take just 10 mg of prednisone today? I also take ibuprofen now with no issues, should I expect no issues from the meloxicam?
