Can I cut my Metoprolol Tartrate in half if I am experiencing side effects such as dizziness, nausea, tingling in the right arm, and toothache, especially after taking the pills? I am taking 25mg twice a day and just started on Monday. I am 66 years old and have no other medications except for 25 mg of Thyroid. My blood pressure has dropped and my heart rate has decreased, making me feel worse.

I am currently experiencing no sleep or eating issues, but I have had a thyroidectomy and am on vitamins. What other symptoms should I be aware of, and have I been given a definitive psychiatric diagnosis in the past that needs confirmation, or is this a new evaluation?
