My doctor is increasing my Lexapro (generic) dosage from 10mg to 20mg, and I still have half of the 10mg left. Should I take 2 pills together, and will there be a significant difference in how I feel with the 20mg dosage?

I have extreme itchiness and redness, and I’m not sure if it’s a yeast infection since I’ve never had one before. I don’t smell any other kind of odor, and I’m currently on my period. I am a 60-year-old female with normal weight and blood pressure. I have Mitral Valve Prolapse (MVP) and undergo an echocardiogram every year through my primary care physician.
