My father is 65 years old and has a low platelet count of 25k/ul, WBC 6.2k/ul, RBC 5.31m/ul, and Hematocrit 48.6%. He fainted and was brought to the ER, where these lab results were obtained. He is a heavy smoker and has recently developed a rash around his cheeks and bone pain. What could this mean, and what should we do next?

I have significantly reduced urine output (900 ML/24hrs, intake 60-70 ounces/daily) and diarrhea 2-5 times daily, leading to extreme swelling all over my body. Electrolytes and kidney function tests are normal, and there are no antibodies suggesting an autoimmune issue. What could cause the fluid to go through my colon instead of the bladder, and is the extreme swelling related?
