My friend had a fever of 39 degrees yesterday, and today he is a bit tired and weak, but in the evening he started sweating heavily again. I gave him ibuprofen. What can we do? He also feels a sore throat and we are currently in Mexico, originally from Austria, and were in the Philippines before. Could it be malaria?

My girlfriend has been experiencing pelvic pain for about 3 months, which is not continuous but worsens after sex and lasts for a few days. I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolus in my left lung post-operatively (gall bladder removal) last November. Since then, I have been taking Xarelto and continue to experience intermittent chest pressure and shortness of breath. My cardiologist does not believe these symptoms are due to heart problems, and my pulmonologist feels they will abate. Is it possible that I have more blood clots, and what further tests or actions should my physicians consider?
