I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP machine, with good records. I also have Hashimoto's disease and am on compound thyroid medication, which is checked and adjusted every four months. I usually sleep 7 hours a night and wake up feeling refreshed, but after about 4 hours, I stagger to the couch and fall asleep due to extreme sleepiness. My eyes also burn and feel tired when I'm sleepy. What could cause this?
