My husband has Crohn's disease and takes Humira once weekly. He has caught the influenza bug with symptoms like fever, runny nose, headache, and chills. Since Humira is an immunosuppressant drug, do I need to take him to a doctor right away? Is he at risk for complications?

I am a 42-year-old male with a history of hypochondria. I noticed a small crease or wrinkle in my right ear canal. I don't have any symptoms like irritation, pain, or itching. What could this be, and should I be concerned about it potentially being cancer?

I had the flu and was vomiting, but haven't vomited for 2 days. I have a sore lower back on the right side of my spine that is painful to the touch and makes it difficult to reach for things. I have dermatomyositis, myopathy, and fibromyalgia, but this pain is different. I have taken muscle relaxers, but they haven't helped. How long have you had the pain? What seems to make the pain better or worse? Is there anything else in your medical history the doctor should know?

I am currently on Effexor .75 mg for three weeks and am feeling very nauseous, tired, and irritable. I was on Celexa and Lexapro before and didn't have these side effects but had bad thoughts. What should I do now?

Dr. Love, are you generally a pretty good guesser when it comes to medical knowledge, and can we be sure that Tamiflu is fully efficacious even though it is H3N2?

I had a bad stomach flu a few weeks ago which triggered a diverticulitis attack. My doctor prescribed cipro/metro, and I'm now taking culturel and focusing on pre and probiotics. However, I've been experiencing hot flashes all day every day since I got sick. I never had hot flashes before, and I'm confused about why this is happening now.
