My husband has had a constant pain on the left side of his back for 2 weeks. The pain is localized to one spot and is not relieved by anti-inflammatory medications or muscle relaxants. He has seen a doctor who prescribed pain pills and checked his left lung, finding a white mass at the lower area. He has no coughing, fever, or other symptoms except for being very tired. What could be causing this pain and what further steps should be taken?
